10/01/2018 - Communication about Scholarships Master's Degree CLE - University of Bologna

Please note that the ERARMUS MUNDUS Master's Degree Program in European Literary Cultures - CLE at the University of Bologna - Alma Mater Studiorum has been selected as part of the "Erasmus + Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees".

After years of success in the Erasmus Mundus program, the European Union has renewed its recognition of CLE as a course of excellence.

Application deadline to participate in the selection: January 15, 2018.

Erasmus Mundus scholarships

For 2018-20, scholarships for an amount up to a maximum of € 16,000 per year (for Europeans) and € 22,000 per year (for non-Europeans), will be offered to the best admitted students from all the world.

Purpose of the Course

The program intends to:

1. To promote excellence, improvement of quality, innovation, internationalization in the context of Higher Education Institutes;

2. Improve the level of competence and skills of graduates, and in particular the relevance of the Joint Masters for the world of work, through greater involvement
of professionals in the field.

The CLE partners

The CLE consortium consists of five universities of excellence in the field of European literary studies:
Alma Mater Studiorum - University of Bologna, ITALY (program coordinator); Université de Haute-Alsace and Université de Strasbourg, FRANCE;
Aristotleion Panepistimion Thessaloniki, GREECE and Université Cheikh Anta Diop de Dakar, SENEGAL. They are also part of the CLE consortium as associated partners: the State Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education, Moscow, RUSSIA and the Universidade de Lisboa, PORTUGAL as well as enterprises, cultural institutes,
cultural associations, publishing houses, archives and foundations (see the link:, which intervene in the various aspects of the program and in particular in the scope of the HEADHumanieties and Enterprises Annual Dialogue project.

The course has a full-time duration of two years. EU and Non-EU students will have the fantastic opportunity to live in an international environment by spending the period of study at two or three universities in the consortium. The teaching language varies according to the University chosen by the student. At the end of the two years and at the end of the course, the students will obtain a double or multiple degree.

Admission requirements

Candidates applying for the CLE must possess: an excellent academic curriculum, a first cycle degree in an area compatible with the CLE (with exams in Literature, History, Art, Languages), a minimum level B1 of language proficiency English and the language of the first universes
