The Embassy of Italy in Baku informs that pre-enrollment procedures for the Italian Universities for the Academic Year 2018-2019 have already started. It is compulsory for international students from non-European Union Countries to submit their applications to the Italian Embassies in their own countries.
To be eligible for enrollment in the Italian university system, it is necessary to be at least 17 years old and have completed 12 years of schooling.
The applications of students in Azerbaijan will be collected by the Italian Visa Center “Visametric” (10th floor of Winter Park Palace located in 75 Rasul Rza street, Baku) starting from April 11th to July 24th 2018 (from Monday to Friday, from 14:00 to 16:00). The students are required to personally submit the documents.
Before submitting their application to Visametric, the Embassy advises applicants to first get in contact with the Italian University where they are applying, for a preliminary evaluation of their requirements.
A national entry test is required to attend the following university programs:
- Architecture
- Medicine and Surgery
- Dentistry
- Veterinary Medicine
- Health Care Professions
- Educational Sciences

Students can apply only to one Italian university and only to one course. The Embassy does not require to students an acceptance letter from University in order to start their pre-enrollment procedures.
Italian Proficiency Requirements or English certificates according to the language of the program should be submitted together with pre-enrollment request.
Important: The Embassy of Italy in Baku does not recognize any student agency in Azerbaijan and does not hold any kind of collaboration with them.

2. Diploma of the local university and transcript
Step 1. The original document should be legalized with an apostille by the Consular Department of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan;
Step 2. The document should be translated into Italian, and legalized with an Apostille by the Ministry Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan
NOTE: The students who are attending the last year of their bachelor’s degree in Azerbaijan can bring a certificate attesting 4 years of university study or the cerdiplom evezi arayis) and the transcript. Both documents should be legalized and translated as mentioned above.
3. Copy of final school document – Attestat.
NOTE: The students who are applying to study at the University of Rome “La Sapienza” should bring the original Attestat
Step 1. The original document should be legalized with an apostille by the Consular Department of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan;
Step 2. The document should be translated into Italian, and legalized with Apostille by Ministry Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan
4. Copy of the passport and national ID card
